His work goes beyond simply producing content. He focuses on building systems that allow people to consistently show up, communicate their message, and expand their reach.

Phil has worked with a wide range of clients. local businesses, entrepreneurs, medical professionals, and community leaders. helping them transform their knowledge into engaging media that resonates with real audiences. His approach is rooted in strategy, storytelling, and authenticity, with a strong belief that the most powerful content comes from real people sharing real experiences.

A Season Like No Other

In the past year alone, Phil's wife experienced a sudden medical crisis and was placed in a coma for nearly two weeks. On March 5th, Phil lost his mother at the age of 65 after her battle with Alzheimer's and dementia. Navigating personal loss, family responsibilities, and his own serious health challenges simultaneously has created one of the most difficult chapters of his life.

Recently, Phil was diagnosed with Stage 5 kidney failure (end-stage renal disease). a condition in which the kidneys can no longer effectively filter waste from the body. Without a transplant, dialysis becomes necessary: several hours per session, multiple days per week, with no end in sight.

Despite all of this, Phil has remained committed to moving forward. He continues to work, create, and serve his clients. He has shifted into a more flexible, project-based approach that allows him to keep doing what he loves while managing the realities of his condition.

Phil is not stepping away from his work. He is not stepping away from his responsibilities. And he is not going anywhere.

The Podcast Doctor is still here. And he is using his platform to raise awareness about kidney disease and the critical importance of living organ donation. because with a blood type of B positive, he is currently seeking a living donor, and he is asking you to learn more about the process.

WATCH
MY STORY

Words on a page only go so far. Watch Phil talk in his own words about who he is, what he's facing, and what he's asking for.

WHAT STAGE 5
ACTUALLY
MEANS

Your kidneys filter your blood, remove waste, and regulate fluids. Healthy kidneys do this quietly, around the clock, without you ever noticing. When they fail, that system stops. and the consequences are life-threatening.

Stage 5 kidney failure, also called End-Stage Renal Disease (ESRD), means Phil's kidneys are functioning below 15% of normal capacity. They are not recovering on their own. Without intervention, the outcome is not survivable.

The two options are dialysis or a transplant. Dialysis keeps you alive by filtering blood mechanically. typically 3 sessions per week, 3–4 hours each. It's life-sustaining. But it is not a cure. It is maintenance, and it takes a massive toll on quality of life.

A transplant from a living donor is the gold standard. Living donor kidneys last significantly longer than deceased donor kidneys. and the national waitlist averages 3–5 years. Phil doesn't have that kind of time to waste.

Living donors are the best option

Living donor kidneys typically last 15–20 years. They function immediately, often right in the operating room. The outcome is simply better than waiting on the deceased donor list.

The waitlist is a life-or-death problem

Over 100,000 people are currently waiting for a kidney transplant in the US. 13 people die every single day waiting. A living donor bypasses the list entirely.

What dialysis actually looks like

3 sessions a week. 3–4 hours each. In a clinic. It extends life. but it is not a normal life. It is not a cure, and it is not something Phil wants for himself or his family.

You don't have to be a perfect match

Paired exchange programs allow non-matching donors to participate in a chain that ultimately results in Phil receiving a compatible kidney. Your willingness to learn more is all it takes.

The Man Behind The Mic

BORN TO
BROADCAST.

I have been broadcasting for as long as I can remember. but it didn’t start out easy. Growing up, I had a severe stutter. Words that came naturally to everyone else felt like mountains I had to climb just to get through a sentence.

Then I fell in love with radio. Something about the mic, the headphones, and that little red light changed everything. I found my rhythm. My stutter faded. My voice became the tool I built my entire life around.

Audio production became an obsession. and eventually a calling. I’ve spent years helping others tell their stories through podcasts, live streams, and video. The mic gave me my life. Now I’m fighting to keep living it.

CAN'T BE
A DONOR?

Even if donation is not possible, support still matters. Phil is facing ongoing health-related expenses, travel for appointments and treatment, and a major loss of income from missing substantial amounts of work. As the only income for his family, every bit of help takes some pressure off and helps him stay focused on his health, his son, and getting to transplant.

HOW YOUR HELP COUNTS

Support can help cover recurring medical costs, travel, time away from work, and the day-to-day strain that comes with Stage 5 kidney failure.

GOT
QUESTIONS?

I'd rather you ask than stay silent. These are the most common concerns I hear. answered as straight as I can.

Talk to the Medical Team →

You may still be able to help through a paired kidney exchange. Your kidney goes to someone who matches you, and Phil receives a compatible kidney from another donor in the chain. AdventHealth's transplant team can walk you through how this works.

Most donors take 2–4 weeks off depending on their job type. Desk work typically resumes sooner; physical labor may require more time. The NLDAC offers financial assistance for lost wages for eligible donors.

Studies show that carefully screened living kidney donors live as long. or longer. than the general population. The pre-donation evaluation is the key safeguard, ensuring your remaining kidney is healthy enough to carry the full load.

Not at all. Many living donors are altruistic strangers. people who simply decided to give because they could. The relationship between donor and recipient is completely your choice. No prior relationship required.

You can stop at any point. no questions asked. Starting the evaluation doesn't commit you to anything. The transplant team will never pressure you to proceed. Their job is to inform and support you, whatever you decide.

The first step is a short form at ahlivingdonor.com. basic health history and contact info. The transplant team then reaches out to guide next steps. No surprises, no commitment. Just a conversation to find out if you could help.

The Bottom Line
MY SON NEEDS
HIS FATHER.
I NEED
A KIDNEY.

I'm still here. I'm still working, still creating, still showing up for Dominic every single day. I haven't given up. and I'm not going to. All I'm asking is that you take ten minutes to find out if you could be the reason I keep going.

Phil and Dominic
This is my why.
